This is a blog where we pick (approximately!) the three best outfits worn in each Columbo episode and discuss them. We also pick the funniest line/situation and discuss that. This is a vintage fashion blog, and just one more thing - a humor blog.

 Season 5, Episode 6, Columbo - Last Salute to the Commodore (1976)     This episode was directed by Patrick McGoohan, and written by Jackson Gillis, Richard Levinson, and William Link.   Some people really do not like this episode but it's one of our very favorites. The best way to view this episode is as if everyone involved from writing to directing to every actor and extra - is high on hallucinogenic drugs at almost all times. Some of them are really tripping. Maybe it's just alcohol, but it seems like they're tripping on mushrooms. Columbo invades the personal space of every person he comes across, sometimes several times. It's a psychedelic journey of hilarity. It is the episode from whence the banner photo of this very blog sprang: 1) And this is the best outfit in this episode. Season 1 Episode 6:  "Columbo" Short Fuse (TV Episode 1972) This episode was directed by Edward Abroms, and written by Jackson Gillis, Lester Pine and Tina Pine.     The three best outfits from this episode are:  1) Roger Stanford, genius fop murderer, in a blue paisley puffy shirt, skin-tight velour western flares, gold science society medallion:      He later completes the look with a teal suede cafe racer jacket with covered buttons:      2) Every secretary at Stanford Chemical is dressed in a very fun outfit, it’s hard to pick one, but we will go with Nancy in an orange belted mini-dress with contrast gold turtleneck and gold flare sleeve cuffs with t-strap leather heels:       Her silver circle belt buckle and silver circle shoulder pin put this over the top     3) Mrs. Buckner’s shiny silver patterned gown that she wore to the Opera board meeting:       This has layers, something like a cape dress over a long skirt:     She accessorizes with big turquoise, white gold an

Final Four Columbo Parody Dog Head Greeting Cards!

(1976).   The first features a red haired Golden Retriever dog meditating on a boat wearing a space dye sweater.
