No, it's not an outfit, and yes, we could just give it honorable mention for decor, but this bathroom and the vanity in particular, is a fantastic spectacle deserving a gold medal:    It's simply incredible. Black tile counter, gilded octagon mirror, fuzzy velour psychedelic floral wallpaper, pastoral scenes on ceramics, flowers from her garden, the LIGHT FIXTURES, the brightly colored glass potion bottles. Incredible.      Mark Halperin's blue shirt amidst this warm textured background is like wow.     Margaret's bubble bath/murder site with the black and random gold tiles, which she gets to via four gold carpeted curved stairs is extra amazing.   The curved towel stand in...

Season 3, Episode 5, Columbo - Publish or Perish (1974)   This episode was directed by Robert Butler and written by Peter Fischer, Richard Levinson and William Link.  The three best outfits in this episode are:  1) Riley Greenleaf's polka dot shirt outfit:    He's wearing a navy and white polka dotted huge butterfly collared shirt under a navy blazer with white buttons and a white pocket square.       He's paired this with some gray flannel trousers and looks like the ultimate 1973 slightly nautical, slightly preppy, slightly disco, ever so hip gentleman.      2) Eagle eyes for fashion will notice that murder victim Alan Mallory is sporting the exact same brown denim western blazer with white contrast stitching and shoulder epaulets that Enrico Guiseppe Carsini ( S3E2 Any Old Port in a Storm ) is wearing when his brother bops him on the head with a gold pot.    This outfit seems to incite murderous rage.     3) E...

This episode was directed by Jeannot Szwarc, and written by Jackson Gillis, Myrna Bercovici, and Richard Levinson.  The three best outfits in this episode are: 1)  Viveca Scott’s peach and beige suede western get up:      She’s rocking a beige suede suit with a peach butterfly collar polo underneath, with some matching leather gloves to hide her poison ivy       Very cute button sash on back     Paired with a saddle tan leather purse and matching platform heels, looking like western peach cobbler.      2) Shirley Blane’s suede patchwork floral dress:        Love this dress with dark green suede panels with contrast stitching, a butterfly collar and light pastel floral western blouse patchwork skirt.
