The three best outfits in this episode are:

1) Joan Stacey’s white knit outfit when she goes to Columbo’s office to report her fiancé missing: 

 

This is a white ribbed mock turtleneck sweater under a long knit cardigan vest with cut-out square pattern and matching skirt

 

 

Very striking with her giant gold tree sapling necklace. 

2) Enrico Carsini’s leisurewear: 

 

 

This is a butterfly collar brown denim with white contrast stitch western shacket. It has all the bells and whistles - epaulets, back flair: 

 

 

Side slits as well. Paired with a dark green ribbed mock turtleneck and light beige poly pants he looks ready for leisure or being hogtied in a wine cave. 

 

 

 

3) Joan Stacey’s sculpted swimwear: 

 

 

This is a wave-pattern textured hipster swim suit with a long zipper and pearl zipper pull: 

 

Her friend’s white track jacket with red and blue stripe trim is also ultra fresh. 

 

 

Honorable mention for outfit goes out to Karen Fielding, wearing the exact same white textured, tie-front suit that Janice wears in Etude in Black:

The funniest lines in this episode are when the wine cave worker tells Columbo the way to tell a good wine is by price: 

 

 

And when Adrian Carsini says nobody needs a $5000 bottle of wine, but he doesn’t want anybody else to have it.

 

Honorable mention for humor going to Columbo’s self deprecating Italian jokes: 

 

 

And telling Joan Stacey that after three marriages, Enrico’s feet were warm enough: 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bonus points for decor go to the interior of the American Airlines 747 with an organ player and spiral staircase: 

 

 

 

HUGE bonus points for decor go out to the entire pool party. The umbrellas, the towels, the chaise lounges, the record player, the shot glasses, the dancers in psychedelic floral print bikinis - the whole thing is heavenly.
