Season 1, Episode 7 - Columbo - Blueprint for Murder (1972)

Season 1 Episode 7:  "Columbo" Blueprint for Murder  (TV Episode 1972)

This episode was directed by Columbo himself - Peter Falk. It was written by Steven Bochco, William Levinson and William Kelley.

The three best outfits from this episode are:

1) Bo Williamson’s western ranch outfit:

Here he is rocking a tan suit with western styling and gold stripe pearl snap western shirt, silk cowboy scarf, and a cowboy hat with a snakeskin band.

And of course cowboy boots. Impeccable.

Later he puts on a sporty cream colored leather sheepskin coat:

The belt buckle and cargo pockets are next level.

The collar looks so soft and warm, literally to die for.

2) Goldie Williamson's entire wardrobe rocks. She is an avowed lover of gold lamė, saying right off the bat, wearing a sparkly gold headband: “I tell you lover, if gold lamė was legal tender, I’d rule the world.”

Her gold dress in this scene is amazing:

High neckline, flowing fringed sleeves, so much SPARKLE! Beads and overlays and epicness.

3) Jennifer Williamson's red palazzo pant ensemble:

She's in a foldover polyester turtleneck tunic with matching cord belt and wide accordion pleat palazzo pants.

She looks both comfortable and glam.

The funniest line in this episode is when Goldie kisses Columbo on the mouth and says, “We could’ve used you at the Alamo, you’ve got guts.”

Close runner up for funniest scene is when Bo Williamson lightly backhand slaps architect Elliot Markham:

Bonus love for accessories goes out to Jennifer’s polka dot hat:

Bonus love for car accessories goes out to Bo’s revolver door handles:

 and racehorse hood ornament:
